Privacy Policy — Wasil Merchant App
Last updated: 2026-05-07
1. Introduction
This policy explains how the Wasil merchant app collects, uses, and protects your data. The app is intended for merchants registered on the Wasil platform in Iraq, enabling them to manage invoices, online-store orders, and shipments through delivery partners.
2. Data we collect
When you use the app, we collect only the following:
- Account data: name, email (used as your login ID), phone number, and password (stored as a one-way hash, never recoverable).
- Store data: store name, store logo (if uploaded), and the per-province shipping rates you configure.
- Inventory data: product names, prices, stock counts, and any images or barcodes (entered by our team or by an employee with your authorization).
- Invoice and shipment data: recipient name, phone, address, and order amount — entered by you, or received via your storefront from end customers.
- Push notifications: Expo Push token plus a locally-generated device UUID, platform (iOS / Android), and app version. Used solely to deliver notifications about your invoices and incoming orders to your device.
3. What we do not collect

5. Parties we share data with
We share specific data only with the following, and only as needed:

- Push notification providers (Expo, Apple APNs, Google FCM): your push token, notification title, and body are relayed through these services to deliver the notification to your device. Sensitive data is not included in notification bodies (only invoice/order numbers).
We share data with no other parties — not for advertising, not for analytics, not for marketing.
